Photographer’s work chosen for exhibition

March 12th, 2004

“Manito-wish Canoes,” a photograph by Mequon photographer Mark Stall, has been selected for inclusion in the Photo Midwest exhibition at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Memorial Union. The seven-state juried competition is running now through March 28 in conjunction with the union’s 75th anniversary.

His work, photographed at Camp Manito-wish in Boulder Junction, Wis., is one of 55 images selected from 300 submissions. His unique composition makes it difficult for the viewer to quickly identify his subject as canoes.

A photographer for 30 years, Stall is also his showing his photographs at the Lil Gabriel Gallery in Brookfield.
