Mark S. Lucoff

Milwaukee native Mark S. Lucoff of Glendale died June 16 at the age of 60.

He graduated in 1960 from Washington High School and received a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in educational psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He also earned a master’s degree in Japanese studies at the University of Michigan.

A U.S. Army veteran, he spent four years in Okinawa. He was employed by Milwaukee County for 26 years in the area of adult services. Most recently he worked in the Department on Aging as contract administrator for the Family Care Program. In addition, he served on many state committees representing Milwaukee County on family care issues.

His special interests included reading, playing bridge, poker nights with “the guys,” and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Dena Lucoff (nee Schiewitz); sons Charles Lucoff of Tucson, Ariz., and Phillip (Erika) Lucoff of St. Louis Park, Minn.; and his mother-in-law, Ida Schiewitz of Glendale.

Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at the funeral on June 19. Burial was in Mound Zion Cemetery.
