Cousins raise over $9,000 at marathon

May 9th, 2003

Native Milwaukeeans Jennifer Loeb, 36, and Marsha Loeb, 25, ran the Vancouver Marathon May 4, raising over $9,000 for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The cousins, now residents of New York City, participated in the Society’s Team in Training, a national effort that provides coaching, training and support in exchange for participants’ raising money. Seventy-five percent of the collected sum will go toward cures for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood-related cancers.

Both women originally planned to run Vancouver’s mini-marathon but upgraded to the full race during training.
