Rosenberg to lead Spertus mini-course

Douglas Rosenberg, a founding director of the Conney Project on Jewish Arts at the Mossse/Weinstein Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will lead a four-session mini-course on “Jewish Arts and Culture Today” in the Chicago area.
It will take place on four Mondays, July 9, 16, 23, and 30, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at North Shore Suburban Synagogue Beth El, 1175 Sheridan Rd., in Highland Park, Ill. The course is a collaboration between the synagogue and the Spertus Center for Jewish Learning and Culture.
Kosher lunch is included. Cost is $120 for Spertus and Beth El members, $150 for non-members. For more information, call 312-322-1773.
