Michigan shul with local ties marks centennial
July 1st, 2012
Temple Jacob in Hancock, Mich., will be marking the centennial of its founding with a three-day celebration on Aug. 9-12.
Milwaukeean Roberta London wrote to The Chronicle about this event. She wrote that she lived in that community for eight years and that “a number of ‘immigrants’” from this community or their descendants live in the Milwaukee area.
People interested in learning more about the synagogue and the celebration should contact Susan Burack, 906-482-3270 or sburack@pasty.net. The shul also has a website, www.thetemplejacobwebsite.com.
