Rose Ann Loewenthal

Milwaukee native Rose Ann Loewenthal died from heart failure on April 20 at age 91 in Encinitas, Calif.

A graduate of Milwaukee North High School, she later went into sales. A member of Beth El Ner Tamid Synagogue, she was also active in its sisterhood, ORT, and Pioneer Women.

According to her son, Randy (Jo Ellen) Loewenthal, she “loved being with family and friends, and playing cards.”

Her husband, Kurt Loewenthal, preceded her in death in 1998. In addition to her son, she is survived by daughters Lori (Joel) Oxman and Vicki (Lawrence) Wasserman; and five grandchildren.

Burial was in Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona del Mar, Calif. Rabbi Jeffrey Brown officiated.
