Roma Karas, formerly of Milwaukee, will exhibit his recent paintings at The Gallery Ltd., located in the Astor Hotel, 924 E. Juneau Ave., through March 30.

Born in Russia, Karas spent his teenage years in Shorewood. He graduated from The Rhode Island School of Design and currently resides in New York City.

The show, coordinated by gallery owner Gloria Dee Erlien, will feature 24 small acrylic paintings. His work has changed from a traditional, historic content to a satirical, contemporary point of view.
