Robyn Straub and David Swernoff were married Nov. 28 at Iberostar Punta Cana. A civil judge of the Dominican Republic officiated. A Jewish wedding took place on Jan. 17 officiated by Rabbi Ronald Shapiro.

The bride is the daughter of Ione and Robert Straub of Bayside. Robyn graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s degree in 2005 and a master’s degree from Marquette University in 2007. She is employed by GMR Marketing.
The groom is the son of Robin and James Swernoff of Bayside. David graduated from the University of Vermont-Burlington in 2002. He works for Lakeside Stoneworks.
The maid of honor was Brooke Berger of Milwaukee. The bridesmaids were Dara Schlossmann and Mari Schlossman of Milwaukee.
The groomsmen were Jonah Mueller of Chicago and Adam Silberman of Bay View.
The ushers were Bryan and David Straub of Bayside, and Adam and Jeff Swernoff of Milwaukee.
After a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Milwaukee.
