Audrey Ansfield

Private funeral services were held Jan. 29 for Audrey Helen Ansfield (nee Fredman) of Mequon. She died Jan. 27 of complications of a stroke at the age of 82.

A Milwaukee native, she graduated in 1937 from Shorewood High School and attended Marquette University.

She was actively involved in serving developmentally disabled adults and senior citizens. Her family said, “Her positive outlook brightened the lives of all who knew her.”

She was a member of the Wisconsin State Historical Society and a supporter of the Milwaukee Center for Independence.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Irving Ansfield; son Dr. Michael (Molly) Ansfield of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughters Bobbi Ansfield Marks of Evanston, Ill., Alice Ansfield of Oakland, Calif., and Amy (Bill) Ansfield-Scott of San Jose, Calif.; sisters Evelyn Oxman, Marjorie Neu and Dorothy Mack; and five grandchildren.

Memorial contributions to the Milwaukee Center for Independence would be appreciated by the family.
