Esther Forman Jacobs

Esther Forman Jacobs of Atlanta died Feb. 13, 2017. She was 93.

She was born Sept. 10, 1923 in Milwaukee. A graduate of North Division High School in 1941, she graduated from Marquette University in 1945. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel. Organizations included Hadassah, World ORT, the Jewish nonprofit.  She was a homemaker.

Survivors include Lynn (Robert) Harris, Susan (Jonathan) Schaer and Sharon (Isaac) Seluk.

Burial was at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodel Cemetery on Feb. 15, 2017 with Rabbi Paul Kerbel and Goodman-Bensman Funeral Home.

Stanley S. Wasserman

Stanley S. Wasserman of Glendale died Jan. 16, 2017. He was 87.

Born in Sheboygan, May 11, 1929, he graduated from University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1947. He worked in real estate and was a builder. Organizations included the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Board of Realtors, among others. Special interests included tennis, bowling, business and the economy. He read three newspapers daily and was known for his level-headed advice.

Survivors include wife Arlene Wasserman of Glendale, daughter Jackie Blumberg of Brown Deer, Eliot Wasserman of Mellen, Wisconsin and step-daughter Lindi Seagraves of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Also, Marvin Wasserman, brother, of Fox Point, Sid Fink, stepson of Washington state, and Debbi Keno, step-daughter, of Florida.

Burial was at Mound Zion on Jan. 18, 2017 with Rabbi Noah Chertkoff of Congregation Shalom.

Mildred Wolf

Mildred Wolf (Polland) of Grafton died Nov. 12, 2016. She was 100.

Born in Milwaukee, she graduated from West Division High School and attended Milwaukee State Teachers College. She was a founding member of Congregation Shalom with her husband. Organizations included Hadassah, ORT and the Shalom sisterhood.

She volunteered for Women’s American ORT, a Jewish nonprofit, into her 90s.

She was predeceased by husband Dr. Norbert Wolf, who died in 2006. They were married for 66 years and family reports she enjoyed many dear friendships, but the most important factor in her life was family.

She is survived by daughter Jan (Irv) Berlin. Burial was at Second Home Cemetery on Nov. 16, 2016, with rabbis Ronald Shapiro and Noah Chertkoff of Congregation Shalom, with Goodman-Bensman Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Shalom or the charity of your choice.
