Local authors on ‘NegotiaPhobia’

FOX POINT – The new book, “Overcoming Your NegotiaPhobia: Negotiating Your Way Through Life,” from a pair of Wisconsin natives, is now available.

Larry Waldman and Cary Silverstein authored the book for people suffering from “NegotiaPhobia.” Will you agree to almost anything to avoid conflict? If you would answer “yes,” then this book could be for you.

Published Nov. 7, the book covers negotiating a salary, dealing with your teenagers, gender-related issues, aging parents, healthcare issues and more.

Waldman earned his doctorate in psychology from Arizona State University and has been a family and adolescent therapist in Phoenix for nearly 40 years. Silverstein has master’s degrees in business administration from Long Island University in both Marketing and Organizational Behavior.

Silverstein, of Fox Point, is editor of the Ha Kol newsletter for Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun in River Hills. He’s also a former board member of the synagogue and a former vice president of Keshet.

Waldman was born in Wisconsin and after Nicolet High School earned his undergraduate degree at University of Wisconsin – Madison and his a master’s from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
