Economic forum features former U.S. treasurer

Economic Forum features former U.S. treasurer The Milwaukee Jewish Federation will hold its Economic Forum 2015 on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m., at the Pfister Hotel. This year features Paul H. O’Neill, who served as 72nd Secretary of the U.S. Treasury from 2001 to 2002. Following the keynote speech will be a discussion with: Cynthia LaConte, CEO of Dohmen; Austin Ramirez, president and CEO of HUSCO International; and Todd J. Teske, chairman, president and CEO of Briggs & Stratton Corporation.

“The Milwaukee Jewish Federation organizes the Economic Forum to hold a community conversation about the economy,” said Hannah Rosenthal, CEO and president of MJF. “Having a former Treasury Secretary is an excellent opportunity to begin the conversation. A local panel of leaders brings it all home.”

The lead sponsors of Economic Forum 2015 are PNC, BMO Harris Bank and Milwaukee Business Journal, along with more than 50 additional sponsors. Limited sponsorships are still available. For more information, go to MilwaukeeJewish.org/EconomicForum or call 414-390-5707.

Check the website after Oct. 1 for any available individual tickets. Event co-chairs are: Allan “Bud” Selig, commissioner emeritus of Major League Baseball; David Lubar, president of Lubar & Company; Greg Marcus, president and CEO of The Marcus Corporation; and Linda Gorens-Levey, partner of General Capital Group. Economic Forum 2015 follows last year’s sell-out crowd of more than 650, which featured Marc Lasry, co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, along with a panel of local business leaders.
