Wedding Announcements for August 2014

Frolkis-Lipton

          Alexandra Frolkis and Tevie Lipton were married June 29 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Rabbi Yisroel Miller officiated.

          The bride is the daughter of Amy (Gene Haack) Waldman and the late Harold G. (Debra Alpert-Frolkis) Frolkis of Milwaukee. Alexandra graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2009 and is in the Leaders in Medicine program at the University of Calgary.

          The groom’s parents are Saundra and Harold Lipton of Calgary. Tevie graduated from the University of Alberta in 2010 and works for Transalta.

          Liza Frolkis of Smartsville, Calif., was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Talia Frolkis of Madison, Margo Alpert of Tel Aviv, Alexis Alpert of Milwaukee, Caryn Alpert of Chicago, Debra Lipton of Calgary and Tamar Lipton of Vancouver.

          Michael Lipton of Vancouver was best man. Groomsmen were Lewis Krell of Seattle; Arnie Friedhaldler, Benji Steinman, Brad Libin and Laurie Meyers, all of Calgary; and Zachary Alpert of Chicago.

          After a wedding trip to Italy, the couple resides in Calgary.

 
 
Goldberg-Slater

          Sheri Goldberg and Dean Robby Slater were married on May 18 in Milwaukee. Rabbi Gil-Ezer Lerer officiated.

          The bride’s parents are the late Judith and the late Nathan Goldberg of Milwaukee. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1973.

          The groom is the son of the late Kerrie and Alfred Slater of Milwaukee. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1973 and is self-employed.

          The maid of honor was Rena McCormack of Milwaukee, and the matron of honor was Rosalie Levine of River Hills. The bridesmaid was Danyal Ovadia of Kfar Saba, Israel.

          The best man was Marty Slater of Mequon. Witnesses were Dr. Robert Fox and Alan Kwass.

          Chuppah holders were Nathan McCormack of Milwaukee, Benjamin Levine of River Hills, Ryan Higgins of Brookfield and Izzy Goldberg of Glendale.

          After a wedding trip to Madison, the couple resides in Milwaukee.
