Ceramist’s work exhibited

British child psychiatrist Dr. Frances Marks poses at the poster marking the start of the exhibit of the work of her mother, German Jewish ceramist Margarete Heymann-Lobenstein-Marks (1899-1990), at the Milwaukee Art Museum on Sept. 6. The exhibit, “Grete Marks: When Modern Was Degenerate,” opened that day and will run through Jan. 1. See a longer description of the exhibit in the September Chronicle and on The Chronicle’s website under “Events.” Photo by Leon Cohen.
