Lillian Glick

Native Milwaukeean Lillian Glick (nee Galatzer) died Nov. 19. She was 82.

A graduate of North Division High School, she worked as a proof and encoding clerk at the headquarters of First Wisconsin National Bank in downtown Milwaukee until retirement.

She was especially interested in politics, current events, reading, knitting and cooking, according to her family.

“Lillian was, for many years, the shining, vibrant heart of her family. Her generous spirit, well-used kitchen and sparkling humor nourished and sustained us all,” her family said.
She was a member of Jewish War Veterans Women’s Auxiliary-Morris R. Guten Post and People for the American Way.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harold Glick; daughter Helaine (David) Glass of Glendale; sons Steven Glick of Shorewood and Jeffrey Glick of Milwaukee; sister Betty (Selig) Weinstein of Danville, Calif.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at funeral services Nov. 22. Burial was in Beth Hamedrosh Hagodel Cemetery.

Memorials to Congregation Shalom or Make-A-Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
